Staff Roles and Responsibilities
Host
Manage perma bans and permaban appeals
Manage staff SOPs and server rules
Coordinate GMs and provide guidance on events
Review and approve all PRs prior to implementation
Own broad lore and all lore elements not assigned to a lore owner
Manage staff hiring and retirement
Admin
Primarily responsibility: Handle player disputes and uphold server and Discord rules
Access to in game buttons
Can place bans of to one month in duration; bans of longer duration require Host review
Required to play roughly one shift a week
Participate in staff discussions on lore, development, and server rules
GM
Primary responsibility: Make game fun, either through large planned events or small ad hoc events
Access to in game buttons
Can act as an admin when none are around and place bans of up to 24 hours to allow admins time to review
Required to play roughly one shift a week
Participate in staff discussions on lore, development, and server rules
Maintainer
Primary responsibility: Complete development work for the server
Encouraged to play roughly one shift a month
Participate in staff discussions on lore, development, and server rules
Lore Owner
Ownership of specific piece of lore (e.g., species, location, etc)
Write and maintain relevant lore on the wiki
Approve associated PRs and character applications
Encouraged to play roughly one shift a month; may be asked to pass down lore ownership if no longer able to put in the time to maintain it
Participate in staff discussions on lore, development, and server rules
Retired staff
Maintain retired staff flare
Ability to rejoin staff team without applying as long as there are no concerns from hosts
Mentor
Provide guidance and answer questions in game and in the Discord
